Did you like our puppy cookies in class? Well here’s the recipe so that you can treat your pooches to some cookie goodness! Home-made, so nice and cheap with no nasty additives or preservaties!
Ingredients:
320g wholemeal bread flour
100g porridge oats
50g skimmed milk powder
pinch of salt
2 large eggs
260g peanut butter (smooth or crunchy. Get the one with no salt added.)
parsley (optional – dried or fresh)
325ml water
Tools:
Cookie cutters (I like to use very small ones)
Baking sheet (I like to use the magic non-stick oven liner, as you don’t have to grease it and the dog biscuits just slip off)
Both of the above items can be found in HobbyCraft or Lakeland.
Method:
Pre-heat the oven at 150C
1.- Mix the flour, oats, powder milk, parsley (if using) and pinch of salt until you get a crumbly mixture.
2.- Add the eggs, peanut butter and water. Mix well.
3.- Roll out the mixture to about 1/4 inch thick.
5.- Cut out the dog biscuits with your cookie cutter and place in a non-stick sheet.
6.- Bake for about 20 minutes until they are crunchy. Voila! You now have loads of healthy and inexpensive dog treats to get that pooch super obedient!
